Jay Martin, MD

Jay is a general internist at Arlington Mill Run Internal Medicine in Columbus Ohio. He has been working in private practice since 2000. Jay started taking medical mission trips in 1999 and made his first trip to Central America in 2002. He started Total Health in 2004 with a vision to provide quality primary care to the poor. Jay continues to travel to Central America frequently both to provide patient care and also to support development of current clinics and scout sites for new clinics. Jay graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Computer Science from Western Kentucky University in 1987 and graduated from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1997.

Dagoberto Irias

Dagoberto is a Pastor and Church Planter. In 1999 he started working to open the first Total Health Clinic in La Ceiba, Honduras associated with the church he led there. In 2012, Dago and his family planted a church in the Dominican Republic where he and his wife Sandra and their 4 children and 7 grandchildren all minister together. Dago holds B.S. and Masters in Forestry with top honors from Brazil and WV University respectively.

Jay Flinn

Jay is treasurer and operations officer for Total Health and has over 27 years executive finance and accounting experience in large global organizations. He also serves as elder at his local church. Jay joined the Total Health board at inception in 2004 as its treasure and took his first mission trip in 2008. In 2013, Jay “retired” from the corporate world to focus his time and efforts on Total Health. In addition to sitting on the board, Jay manages Total Health’s daily operations including finances, mission trip logistics, and clinic operational concerns. Jay has a Doctor of Intercultural Studies (DIS) degree from Western Seminary with a focus on mission partnerships for Christian ministry. He earned a MA degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School with honors and a BA degree in accounting and business with honors from Muskingum College.

Gary Alexander

A Purdue University graduate, former instructor at Oklahoma State University, and the retired founder of three thriving manufacturing companies, Gary has a very diverse background in engineering, product development, sales, marketing, strategic planning and general management. An original board member of Total Health and founder of the ministry of Total Home, combined with extensive international travel, he has a heart for serving those less fortunate in different cultural settings.

Walter Bonilla, MD
Managua Clinic Doctor, Board Member  |  Managua, Nicaragua
Walter serves full-time as the doctor in the Total Health Medical Clinic in Managua Nicaragua. After working for the Health Ministry of Honduras as a Consultant of Quality in Public Health Services, in 2007, Walter’s family moved to Managua, Nicaragua to help plant a church there. He now serves as a deacon in his church in addition to his duties running the clinic and sitting on the board of Total Health. He has been married to Ana since 2003, and they have four children. Walter received his MD from National Autonomous University of Honduras.

Eva Gregory, MD

Dr. Eva Gregory is a family medicine doctor in Nedrow, New York and is affiliated with Upstate University Hospital. She received her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years. Eva is one of 43 doctors at Upstate University Hospital who specialize in Family Medicine.

Marc Mullin

Marc has served on the board of Total Health since 2014 and brings broad management experience to the team. He is currently an EVP with LeitersRx, a pharmacy services company in Denver, Colorado. Marc has been in healthcare for 28 years. Formerly with Cardinal Health, Marc served in executive positions within the Nuclear Pharmacy Services business, Presource Surgical Products, and most recently for OptiFreight Logistics. Under Marc’s leadership OptiFreight became the industry leader of freight management services to healthcare providers. Marc and his wife Michelle recently relocated to Denver and have three grown daughters. Marc holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Pittsburg State University where he graduated with honors.

Tony Pierson

Tony is a Pastor, Church Coach, and serial technology entrepreneur with over 29 years of executive marketing experience. In addition to mentoring the young leaders at Blacksburg Ablaze Church, he coaches leaders in other churches to maximize the impact of their respective ministries. Tony took his first Total Health trip in April of 2005, and in addition to sitting on the board, he returns annually to Central America to help scout locations for new potential clinic sites/partnerships. Tony holds an MBA from the College of William and Mary and earned BS degrees with honors in Marketing and Psychology for Virginia Tech. Married to Desiré since 1985, they have three natural and many bonus children from where ever they serve.
